Biography
Michelle is from maskêkosihk (People of the Land of the Medicine), also known as Enoch Cree Nation, in Treaty Six territory.
In the fall of 2022, Michelle joined the CER as the Professional Leader of Reconciliation, where she is instrumental in shaping the organization’s Reconciliation commitments and guiding individuals through the reconciliation journey.
Before her role at the CER, Michelle served as an elected member of the Enoch Cree Nation Council from 2015 to 2022. Her primary responsibilities included economic development, lands, environment, consultation, and community planning. Additionally, she represented Alberta First Nations and co-chaired the IAMC-TMX from 2017 to 2022.
Michelle holds a Master of Arts in Executive Leadership and a Graduate Certificate in Change Management from Royal Roads University, as well as a Bachelor of Science in Earth and Ocean Science from the University of Victoria.
