Event Description

To Share Knowledge And Strengthen Our Connection To The Land

August 20 – 21, 2026
Assiniboia Downs | Winnipeg, MB

Land-Based Gathering
Peguis First Nation Consultation & Special Projects

Supported by Line 3 IAMC

This Land-based Gathering is an opportunity to learn more about Indigenous Traditional Arts, Indigenous History of our territory, the plants and animals we share the land with. Every season provides new and interesting changes on the land and follows the seasonal cycles in a comprehensive year-round schedule.

This training will include collaborating directly with local elders and cultural teachers to facilitate the programs. Our goal is to support the local cultural knowledge being put into practice.

The Peguis Consultation Land Based Training Team has years of real-world experience living on the land hunting, trapping, and fishing.

Who Should Attend?

Indigenous Monitors and Land Managers/Assistants from Line 3 impacted Nations in Manitoba will be prioritized for registration. A waiting list will be available for other interested representatives from Line 3 impacted Nations who are interested in attending.
