The Line 3 IAMC prioritizes engaging impacted Indigenous Nations in its efforts to enhance regulatory oversight, communicating through newsletters, reports, and events.
A priority for the Line 3 IAMC is to ensure that impacted Indigenous Nations and Regions are aware of and engaged in the committee’s important work on increasing and enhancing Indigenous regulatory oversight over the lifecycle of the project. The Line 3 IAMC communicates and engages Nations by sharing information and providing opportunities for dialogue between impacted Indigenous Nations, the regulator, the proponent (Enbridge), government and other partners. The Communication and Engagement subcommittee supports engagement by developing products like newsletters and annual reports, and organizing events like the regional engagement sessions and annual Line-Wide Gathering.
