Trevor Kehoe
Biography
Trevor Kehoe is a communications professional, award-winning editor, published writer and photographer.
For nearly nine years he worked in a communications capacity to support the creation of the First Nations health governance structure in British Columbia on Coast Salish territory in Vancouver.
Trevor has guided communications teams and efforts at organizations throughout the western provinces, and published material in numerous magazines, respected journals and legacy media outlets such as the Globe and Mail, Ottawa Citizen and Vancouver Sun.
He was the managing editor of q̓apkiⱡ, a legacy publication that celebrates Ktunaxa Peoples, communities and the Nation through culture, stories, history and art.
In 2024 q̓apkiⱡ won gold for Best Editorial Package at Canada’s National Magazine Awards, and was presented at the Banff Mountain Film and Book Festival as part of their Indigenous Dialogue plenary.
Trevor’s role as the Communications and Engagement Program Coordinator is to work closely with the Indigenous Caucus, Secretariat and staff to strengthen information sharing, engagement and feedback mechanisms between impacted Nations and partners to support the work of the Line 3 IAMC.
He brings extensive experience supporting Indigenous self-determination, decision-making and storytelling. He lives on Treaty Seven territory in Calgary, Alberta.
