Biography
When former Chief Matthew Peigan was first elected Chief of Pasqua First Nation in 1993, he was the youngest Chief in Saskatchewan at the age of 26.
Under his leadership, Pasqua First Nation advanced a wide range of strategic goals and objectives related to economic development, environmental stewardship, training and employment, and ensuring Aboriginal treaty rights are respected. He also played a key leadership role with the Qu’Appelle Valley Indian Development Authority.
