Raheel Baig-Mirza

Raheel joined the federal public service with Service Canada in 2008 through the Federal Student Work Experience Program. In 2011, he joined Indigenous and Northern Affairs Canada (now Crown-Indigenous Relations and Northern Affairs Canada (CIRNAC)). Most recently Raheel held the position of Senior Program Manager at CIRNAC with responsibilities related to implementation and coordination of the Canada-Métis Nation Accord. In addition to this, Raheel has managed funding agreements related to programs such as Institutional Governance, Housing, Infrastructure, and others. He enjoys collaborating with stakeholders and colleagues and keeping a calm approach to managing priorities. Raheel, his wife and three kids live in the Plateau sector of Aylmer, Quebec and are originally from Montreal. They enjoy reading and spending time with extended family and friends during their free time.
Raheel joined NRCan on October 3, 2022. He will be supporting the Line 3 Indigenous Advisory and Monitoring Committee responsibilities with his extensive experience in managing programs, agreements and working with impacted Indigenous Nations to advance shared priorities and interests through renewal and beyond.
