Brent Laroque

Métis Nation - Saskatchewan

Brent is a Métis citizen from Duck Lake Saskatchewan and currently resides in Warman SK. His family has long roots in the Duck Lake and Batoche area. Brent has a degree in Agricultural & Bioresource Engineering as well as a Bachelor’s in Microbiology & Immunology from the University of Saskatchewan. He is currently pursuing an advanced certificate with Vancouver Island University in Indigenous Protected and Conserved Area Planning.

He has previously worked in regulatory compliance across Western Canada for an environmental company, managed a hazardous waste facility, worked in biotech research and development, as well as biofuels research. He’s excited to bring his skills and knowledge back to the Métis Nation to support work in the environmental field to protect Métis people’s connection to a clean and vibrant land.
